Chook’s Little Winery Tours is a small family-owned and hosted or arranged by Chook specialising in unique wine-tasting experiences, visiting boutique wineries, with barrel and structured tastings if available, and talking to the growers and winemakers.
Enjoy unique experiences in a relaxed informal atmosphere.
Tours are hosted by Chook a colourful McLaren Vale character, hear the stories whilst enjoying local produce for lunch or maybe a cheese platter along the way and find the hidden treasures that abound in this magnificent area. Your tour can be one of ours or maybe you tailor your own on a full or half day trip. Alternative stops at galleries or craft shops can be added.
Tours are totally adaptable with fun and relaxation being the main criteria. Step aboard their air conditioned bus at a couple of selected pick-ups be it near your home or hotel, sit down and enjoy the Southern Vales most interesting winery experience. Chook's Little Winery Tours
Your tour starts with collection from the Adelaide central business district or vicinity approximately 9.30am.
You’ll travel up through the hills and attend up to four wineries or locations, depending on how much time spent at each location.
Included is a structured tasting at one winery including some wines not available at the cellar door, and a cheese platter through the day.
Lunch is served as a structured full lunch at a local restaurant (subject to who is open on the day) using local produce. The fare is seasonal and very generous.
They generally include a winery where you can talk about the process of winemaking, which is generally a big hit.
You’ll return to your pick up location at around 5-15pm.
All tours are arranged by Chook, with a full commentary and a lot of fun and laughs.
