Close to Warburton, two hours drive east of Melbourne, La La Falls walking track is a gentle climb through picturesque forest to a small, scenic waterfall and viewing platform.
The popular walk has long been drawing tourists to the region to see the beauty of the old water race. Add it to your itinerary as a place to stretch your legs and enjoy stunning natural scenery before or after visiting Warburton, a charming mountain tourist town.
A short drive from the Warburton township, the walk follows the historic Four Mile Creek timber tramway for much of its length. You’ll pass beneath a lush forest canopy of mountain ash, through attractive tree fern-lined gullies and see 3 unique, handcrafted stone bridges.
The falls are at their most impressive and powerful after heavy rainfall.
The 2.8 kilometre return moderate grade walk is suitable for adults and children. It should take around 1 to 1.5 hours return when walked at a gentle pace.
Note, there are no toilets at this location.
