La Popular Taqueria is an award-winning authentic Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Port Adelaide, owned by Daniella Guevara Muñoz and Kor-jent van Dijk.
The vibrant taqueria serves traditional Mexican dishes including tacos, soups, guacamole, and desserts from various regions of Mexico.
With corn tortillas made from Australian maize – which is nixtamalized in-house, ground in a stone mill and then hand-made to demand – Daniella and Kor showcase the food that remind them of Daniella’s childhood home of Mexico City and time spent in the Yucatan Peninsula.
