Experience the peace and beauty of Central NSW at Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre. Set among 67 hectares of stunning, natural bushland, you’ll love the leafy outlook, pristine lake and big skies as well as the many native animals that abound.
There are two four-bedroom cottages available. Each sleeps 16 and features a full kitchen, lounge with television, reverse cycle air-conditioning and bunk beds. There are also modern, motel-style units that sleep two to six.
Conveniently located an hour’s drive from Dubbo and Orange, Lake Burrendong is a great base to explore Central NSW. It’s also a favourite among nature lovers and fishing enthusiasts. Take a walk through Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum with its 167 hectares of unique and diverse Australian flora or drop a line in Burrendong Dam. Foodies can head to Orange or Dubbo to sample the local produce and wines.

Lake Burrendong
Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre has accommodation for up to 180 guests. There’s also a range of facilities with plenty of activities to enjoy.
Accommodation includes modern lodges for large groups, including one with full access for guests with a disability, self-contained family cottages, self-contained units and camp facilities.
It’s all go, or all slow, depending upon how you choose to spend the time. Adventure activities include abseiling, flying fox, grass skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking and challenge ropes. Have a go at archery, fencing and tennis. Water-based activities include swimming, water polo, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.
Wilderness activities include bushwalking, campfires and orienteering.
