Just over an hour’s drive from Darwin, we’ll head to this lush haven, offering the perfect escape from the heat of the Top End.
As we explore, you’ll be captivated by the park’s sandstone pillars, panoramic floodplain views, and vibrant flora and fauna. Walk along bushland tracks to some of the best lookout points, capturing the beauty of this pristine region.
Along the way, we’ll stop in the charming township of Batchelor, where you can pick up lunch to take with you. We’ll then visit the remarkable Magnetic Termite Mounds, an incredible natural wonder aligned with the Earth’s magnetic field.
Afterward, cool off with a refreshing swim at one of Litchfield’s renowned plunge pools—either the serene Buley Rockholes or the breathtaking Wangi Falls. No visit is complete without witnessing the majestic Florence Falls or Tolmer Falls, where the thundering cascades provide a truly awe-inspiring sight.
After exploring these natural wonders, we’ll return to Darwin, leaving you relaxed and rejuvenated from a day immersed in the beauty of Litchfield National Park.

Fogg Dam Conservation Centre
Visit the lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people who protect this vast area of diverse wildlife. This is one of the most spectacular places to see wildlife from the Top End, home to many species of birds, turtles, water pythons and of course the iconic Saltwater Crocodile.
Magnetic Termite Mounds
Visit some of these incredible monolithic Termite Mounds.
Buley Rockholes or Wangi Falls
Go for a relaxing dip in either the pristine natural pools of Buley Rockhole or Wangi Falls.
Florence Falls or Tolmer Falls
Marvel at the sheer brillance of either the Florence Falls or Tolmer Falls. Enjoy the views and take in the spectacular scenery.
