At the entrance to the Mansfield Visitor Information Centre, in the Station Precinct, a series of timber columns become a forest of freestanding poles in a walk through interpretive courtyard, each one carved and decorated to symbolise different aspects of the heritage, history, environment and industry of the region.

Learn about everything from bushranger history, and the story of gold and timber in the area, to Mount Buller’s first ski lift and the flora and fauna of the region.
