Accessible by boat only, Milson Island Sport and Recreation Centre offers the perfect escape from the daily grind just 90 minutes north of Sydney. Located on the Hawkesbury River, this island retreat is lush with greenery and rich in native birdlife.
The fully contained two-bedroom units are modern and spacious with sweeping views of the river and plenty of creature comforts. There’s a full kitchen with an oven and microwave, a television, two bathrooms, ceiling fans, a private balcony and oil heaters. Each unit sleeps six.
While you can happily while away the time doing zip, there are plenty of things to do and see. Drop a line in the river, shoot some hoops on the basketball courts or do laps in the pool. Take a walk around the island or perfect your tennis serve. And as night falls, throw a steak on the barbeque and settle in to watch the sunset.
