Just 45 minutes south of Adelaide, Paxton Wines is a family-owned, certified organic and biodynamic winery located in the heart of McLaren Vale, South Australia. Established in 1979, Paxton is a leader in sustainable viticulture, producing premium wines exclusively from estate-grown fruit.
Visit the Paxton cellar door at historic Landcross Farm — a restored 1860s sheep farm and original village site — open daily from 10am to 5pm. Enjoy wine tastings, local produce, and picturesque views, or host your next event in this unique and welcoming space. On weekends, Doughballs the Pizza Place, serve their delicious woodfired pizzas – the perfect accompaniment to a glass of Paxton wine.
Founder David Paxton is one of Australia’s most respected viticulturalists, with over 30 years of experience growing exceptional quality grapes. The Paxton family has nurtured their vineyards in McLaren Vale for decades, helping shape the region’s global reputation for outstanding red wines.
Paxton’s approachable wine range showcases the purity, varietal expression, and natural diversity of McLaren Vale. Minimal intervention in the winery allows the true character of the fruit to shine from vineyard to bottle.
In 2011, Paxton became a fully certified organic and biodynamic producer, reinforcing their commitment to both quality and environmental care.
