See the impact of past bushfires in this region, by the affects on the vegetation growth and look for hollows amongst the trees that provide habitat for a variety of birds and small mammals.
Follow the ridgeline to explore the geology that is derived mostly from Duncan conglomerate. Search for orchids along the track at higher elevation, as you approach the summit. A picnic shelter and public facilities can be found in the Ferndene State Reserve.
