A peaceful stroll through native bushland, our National Park Photo Walk will invigorate and relax at the same time. The birdlife and peaceful surroundings of flora and fauna are abundant, as they go about their daily lives. Just 25 minutes from Adelaide, you will have the opportunity to capture images in the afternoon light as it glistens from ponds whilst the day quietly comes to a close. The 2-hour walk is perfect for photographers looking for instruction in a small group environment with intimate exploring of camera settings and construction of their images. It suits beginners through to experienced photographers wanting to test their skills in a local, easily accessible environment.
Itinerary highlights
Belair National Park
This park was declared South Australia’s first ever National Park in 1891. Right on Adelaide’s doorstep, it boasts some 2,000 acres of native scrubland with waterfalls, mountain bike trails and walking tracks. Wildlife is abundant in the area, including kangaroos, koalas, bandicoots, echidnas and many varieties of bird life. Most notably, sulpur-crested and black cockatoos, kookaburras and native ducks.
Capture beautiful native flora in all moods of the park during the seasons and in summer enjoy the tranquil golden sunlight through the cool shade of the native gum trees.
