The Jatbula Trail is a popular 62 kilometre walk from Nitmiluk Gorge to Leliyn (Edith Falls). Following the western edge of the Arnhem Land Escarpment, the trail traverses sandstone plateaus, woodlands, monsoon forest patches and picturesque creeks. You will walk in the footsteps of generations of Jawoyn people who traditionally travelled this land.

The trail can be completed in 5 to 6 days, with each night spent at a stunning campsite close to a babbling spring, cascade or a plunging waterfall.

The trail is grade 4 – medium to difficult. It is suitable for those who are fit and active with some bushwalking experience and capable of walking over rough ground with a backpack weighing up to 15+ kg.

Bookings are essential and numbers are restricted so you will need to book and pay your walking and camping fees online, well in advance.
