Join the full-day tour as we travel north from Perth to Yanchep and the Numbang National Park with cameras to get images you can be proud of. Your guide is a trained professional photographer with a passion for landscape and nature photography. She can help with understanding camera settings, and composition and knows the area well so will take you to some great locations.
Apart from some amazing landscapes we are likely to see kangaroo, koala and various birds in Yanchep as well as some wildflowers in the Spring. We will stop at an amazing sand dune sculptured by the wind before we head to the Nambung Desert to walk amongst the other worldly pinnacles before watching the sunset amongst the limestone formations. If our tour coincides with a dark sky night then we can change the itinerary to include astro photography.
Itinerary highlights
Yanchep National Park
Visit one of W.A oldest national park home to kangaroos, koalas and many birds. During the winter and spring there are wildflowers to be photographed as well.
Sand Dunes
We stop at an isolated sand dune on route which has been sculpted by the weather into lovely patterns. We sometimes see emus in this area.
Nambung National Park
Nambung National Park (the Pinnacles) is an iconic tourist destination in West Australia but our aim is to help you get photographs which you’ll want to print and frame for the lounge room. We get to the park in the afternoon when the light starts to change and model the limestone formations in soft light. We stay for sunset and during nights when there is no moon there maybe the possibility of doing some astro photography.

Capture the Light Photographic Tours
Capture the Light Photographic Tours is a West Australian company with years of experience running small-group photographic, private and custom tours to a variety of destinations.
The tours are designed for photographers, by photographers who understand the need to take time to get that Shot. The tours range from half a day to up to two weeks long to some of Western Australia’s lesser-known and more iconic destinations. We can customise a tour to suit a client’s needs.
Destinations include Wave Rock and Numbang National Park (pinnacles). They run wildflower tours during Winter and Spring and know many locations where the flowers grow. We will be running a photographic tours 2028 to the Kimberley to coincide with the total solar eclipse.
Each tour is led by formally trained professional fine art photographer, Anna-Mair Francis, who is a highly regarded photographer who has sold images to clients in many different countries. She is a highly acclaimed teacher, having helped hundreds of clients improve their photography and develop a better understanding of their cameras. Her tours have a personal touch that will ensure your trip is an experience you will never forget, with photos that you will treasure for a lifetime.
All tours are inclusive of photographic input, fees, entry fees, most meals and accommodation for overnight tours. All levels of photographers and cameras are welcome.
