Tamworth and Kootingal Horse Riding Adventures are a fully working cattle station located just 27 kilometres east of Tamworth.
Tamworth and Kootingal Horse Riding Adventures offer two-hour trail rides departing three times per day, seven days per week.
Catering for large groups, from the novice rider to the very advanced riders.
Join their famous trail ride exploring over 1400 acres of the property along Mulla Creek with spectacular views taken in at a leisurely relaxing pace for all.
They also offer the “Swamp Oak Station Tour” something the whole family will enjoy from feeding cattle to taking in the beautiful views of the Mulla Creek and Cockburn Ranges. Swampoak Station has a load of history and is a fully working beef cattle station.
Their newest attraction being the Swamp Oak Station Petting Pen, come explore an amazing family experience and adventure meeting our adorable baby farm animals; rabbits, sheep, calves, mini ponies just to name a few. A free barbecue facility’s with undercover seating and restrooms is available to relax a while.
Pony Rides are also available, lead by their staff who have a true passion for horses and sharing their knowledge to assist guests in a relaxed and controlled atmosphere.
Film making photography groups are welcome to contact for an opportunity to utilise the 1400 acres of majestic scenery and hilltop views.

Physical – Mobility
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)

- Uses non-slip tiles in the bathroom or slip resistant matting
- Grab rails in the bathroom
- Seating in common areas including reception area
Physical – Wheelchair
Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- Step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters)
- A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
- Doorways which are easy to open and have lever handles (doorways 850mm or wider when open and not heavy).
- An accessible public toilet which is unlocked.
- A wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room is available.
- Wheelchair accessible picnic tables (picnic tables require 720mm knee clearance and 800mm maximum height).
- At least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high).
