The business started operation in 1998, supplying fresh locally caught prawns from its fishing business. Fifteen years later, it has grown into a local bait and tackle store supplying fishing tackle and bait, fresh seafood, locally grown oysters, a selection of chandlery and a range of hire boats and kayaks. The store is also an agent for “Salt-Away” and Lanotec products.
Bohnock Bait and Tackle also administers Fishing Licenses and 4WD Beach Permits.
The adjoining boat ramp serves as the launching point for day trippers and campers visiting Farquhar Park. The store can assist you by providing Beach Permits for your 4WD, ice, firewood, fresh prawns, and oysters to make your camping trip even more enjoyable.
