Experience Old Gippstown after dark in one of their Ghost Tours. Hear stories about their night time residents that inhabit the corners and crevices of their old 19th century buildings. Many a sight, smell or sound is experienced from visitors as they explore old homes from their pioneering days.
Can you see the little girl in the locked bedroom? The room is not accessible so who is the little girl? Why can you smell and hear horses in the stables when it doesn’t house any Who tapped you on the shoulder when you were alone in the house? What is that smell outside the children’s room at Yallourn house?
The tour includes some of the more prominent buildings like the Sunny Creek School, the old Moe Holy Trinity Church, Angus McMillan’s Bushy Park homestead, the Pakenham Cobb and Co Inn, the Yallourn house and the two-storey gold rush iron house, Loren.
You’ll learn the history and hear the mystery in this unique look at Old Gippstown Heritage Park.

Old Gippstown Ghost Tours
Dare to discover the darker side of Gippsland’s past with Old Gippstown Ghost Tours – a spine-tingling after-hours experience through one of Victoria’s most atmospheric heritage villages.
Held on the final Friday of each month, these guided tours invite visitors to explore the historic buildings of Old Gippstown Heritage Park, where local legends, unexplained happenings and eerie stories from Gippsland’s past come to life.
As darkness falls across the village, guests journey through authentic nineteenth and twentieth century buildings while hearing tales of mysterious sightings, strange encounters, and lingering spirits said to haunt the historic collection. With flickering lantern light, creaking floorboards and the unmistakable atmosphere of a deserted village, each tour offers a unique and immersive experience.
Tour times vary throughout the year and an additional tour will also be held on Friday 13 November for those brave enough to experience the village on one of the unluckiest nights of the year.
Perfect for paranormal enthusiasts, history lovers, couples, groups of friends and visitors seeking a different side of Gippsland tourism, the Old Gippstown Ghost Tours combine local history, storytelling and suspense in a memorable night out.
