This full day tour departs Cairns late morning on a beautiful scenic drive through the Cassowary Coast exploring Babinda Boulders, Etty Bay and the unique Paronella Park.

Your guide will keep you entertained interacting with you sharing local knowledge and interesting stories along the way. Your first stop you will enjoy a short easy walk, learning about the flora and fauna and Dreamtime story of the infamous Devil’s pools.

Continuing South enjoy the commentary and scenic tour of the art deco township of Innisfail before arriving at Etty Bay. Enjoy some fresh local baked cake with a cup of tea or coffee, explore the beach and keep your eyes open for the frequently seen South Cassowary parading along the beach.

Arrive at Paronella Park for a fantastic 4 hours of exploring and learning about the incredible story of Jose Paronella. Enjoy the afternoon and evening tours with time to self explore. Join your guide for a local pub meal at the Meena Creek Hotel.

Babinda Boulders

Our first stop is at Babinda Boulders for an interactive guided tour through this stunning scenic reserve. The Boulders are a natural formation along the Babinda Creek with Tropical Rainforest surrounds with a beautiful designated swimming area to enjoy the cool mountain waters . Here you may choose to enjoy a swim or join the interactive guided tour to the Devils Pools.

Learn the Legend of the Yidinji tribe that tells a remarkable story of the infamous Devils Pools. Your guide will share his knowledge on bush medicine and other flora and fauna found in this area.

Etty Bay a chance to see the Southern Cassowary

A good chance to see a Cassowary is in the Cassowary Coast region. We stop here at Etty Bay where the rainforest meets the reef to enjoy the afternoon sea breeze and walk on this stunning beach.

Relax and indulge in some home baked cake and coffee or tea and learn some interesting facts about the Southern Cassowary. A very likely place to observe these striking birds walking along the esplanade or sitting under a shady tree.

Paronella Park

Voted the number 1 must-see attraction in Tropical Far North Queensland is Paronella Park. Be inspired by one mans dream and a love story as you learn and immerse in the history of Jose’Paronella.

Arriving mid afternoon you are welcomed by Paronella Park staff and taken on a 30 minute guided tour. Following you have plenty of time to explore the 13 acres of the diverse range of tropical plants and trees through the landscape gardens and the beautiful Mena Creek Falls.

A fantastic 4 hours at Paronella Park you will encounter the full experience of the park in the afternoon and the evening. After dinner, the romance and magic is created with a incredible illuminative light and orchestral show.
