Itinerary highlights
Kuranda Village and Barron Falls
Starting the journey up Kuranda Range into lush dense tropical rainforest enjoy the scenic tour through the village and out to Barron Gorge National Park.
Your guide will lead you through the rainforest on the canopy walk out to Barron Gorge lookout to enjoy the spectacular views across the Gorge and out to Barron Falls.
Feeding the Unadorned Rock Wallaby.
A beautiful experience that everyone can enjoy. Getting up close to these cute wallabies you can hand feed and observe the unadorned rock wallabies in their natural habitat.
At Granite Gorge Nature park encounter other Australian wildlife such as reptiles and birdlife. Enjoy some short walks across the granite boulders taking in the savannah views across Mareeba.
Skybury coffee tastings & tropical fruit
Skybury Coffee & Papaya Plantation is Australia’s largest exporter, growing, roasting and grinding their single origin variety of Bourbon Arabica coffee.
Skybury Papaya is a sweet red Carica papaya grown across the plantation supplying more than half of Australia’s supermarkets.
Here enjoy morning tea including Skybury coffee with scones and papaya jam and tastings of the sweet Carica papaya. Wonder through the cafe and learn more about the roastery and you may even wish to purchase some coffee and jams.
Mt Uncle Distillery
At Mt. Uncle Distillery taste Far North Queensland’s finest spirits and liquors.
Learn about local ingredients in distilling botanical gins, rum, vodkas and liqueurs. Then decide which 4 you would like to explore further for your tastings.
Meander through this beautiful landscape property of trees, Blue Agave plantation and other fruit trees while observing the number of farm animals.
Gallos Dairyland for Lunch & Tastings
Gallos Dairyland, a fully operational dairy farm, a gourmet cheese factory, a cafe restaurant, and hand-crafted chocolates.
During this hour, we enjoy the friendly hospitality of the staff serving a light lunch, a range of Gallo’s cheeses, and fine chocolates for tasting. Discover how cheese and chocolates are made and explore the retail outlet.
Curtain Fig National Park
This historic Curtain fig has aerial roots that drop 15m to the forest floor. A fascinating tree that can be viewed by walking around the board walk giving you a full extent of this extraordinary tree. Its size and root systems make a perfect habitat for birds and wildlife some times you can even see a tree kangaroo.
Bromfield Swamp
The Bromfield Swamp is a nationally important wetland area that lies in an extent volcanic crater.
This scenic view point is a popular location for sighting a variety of birdlife species. Great opportunity to photograph birds and the surrounding scenery.
Malanda Township
A scenic tour through the historic township of Malanda passing the old timber pub, the oldest running picture theatre in Australia, Malanda falls and conservation park.
Millaa Millaa Falls
The stunning heritage listed Millaa Millaa plunge pool falls are surrounded by lush tropical rainforest.
Stopping to photograph and the opportunity to immerse in these beautiful waters for a refreshing swim.
Afternoon at Lake Barrine
Enjoy the afternoon light across the picturesque crater, Lake Barrine for afternoon tea. The Lake is 730m above sea level spanning across1 km and is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest.
Your guide will share some interesting facts of the volcanic lake and guide you on a short walk to view the twin Kauri Trees.
