Prickly Mo is a rustic, quirky cellar door, located at Eugenana, just a short 10 minute drive from Devonport.
The cellar door is in a converted barn and shearing shed ,built circa 1890, and has wonderful views looking over the vines and the rolling hills beyond.
Prickly Mo has a range of outstanding cool climate wines, with the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and their sparkling being standouts. The food offering is simple, but generous – their cheese platters are becoming famous.
A feature of the venue is live music most weekends, either on a Sunday afternoon or a Friday night, when they stay open longer and invite a food truck to feed the crowd.
Just two minutes down the road is the Tasmanian Arboretum, a must-visit if you like beautiful trees in a park setting, and if you want to see platypus.
This cellar door is right in the heart of the Tasmanian Tasting Trail, and only a 70-minute drive to Cradle Mountain. Prickly Mo welcomes visitors with disabled access needs.
