Prospect Country House is a luxury accommodation and restaurant in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region, Tasmania – just 20 minutes from Hobart Airport and 25 minutes from Hobart CBD.
At the gateway to Tasmania’s historic Richmond Village, Prospect provides for the perfect escape and location to base your stay to explore the Coal River, greater Hobart and the world heritage-listed Port Arthur convict site.
With just 11 luxury rooms, Prospect House provides personalised service that is genuine and memorable. The hotel and home underwent a full renovation and restoration in 2019, now showcasing ten luxuriously appointed King and Queen rooms, and one private suite. Ask the team for a tour of the 190-year-old home, convict-built cellar, and kitchen gardens.
Prospect can accommodate twin bedding as required as well as wheelchair accessible rooms. All room packages are inclusive of an arrival beverage, afternoon tea, continental country breakfast buffet, complimentary WiFi and off property golf and tennis. With various packages you have the option to add more to your stay, including lunch and dinner.
The dining room at Prospect House showcases the very best local produce and is open to both staying and non-staying guests for dinner, breakfast and lunch.
