Salamanca Walk – History Tour, Princess Park
Once home of the mighty British military ,the first Battery was installed in 1818, later a sandstone quarry offered opportunities for local residents to built cottages.
The park is a peaceful refuge and offers great views overlooking the river Derwent and the Hobart wharf
St. David's Park
The park was once a hunting ground , then turned into a cemetery and since 1926 turnt a public park, home of the two Van Dieman’s Land Bank Lions.
A popular local refuge for local and visitors,
as a reference to the cemetery tomb stones from the first settlers, convicts are displayed in the park.
