Storyfest West Moreton is a vibrant regional extension of the acclaimed Somerset Storyfest, delivering a dynamic celebration of storytelling, literacy and creativity to the West Moreton community. Held at West Moreton Anglican College, the festival brings together leading Australian authors, illustrators and storytellers to engage students, educators and families through an immersive program of talks, workshops and interactive experiences.

Developed in partnership with the Ipswich District Teacher Librarian Network, Storyfest West Moreton builds on the legacy of the long-running StoryArts Festival Ipswich, continuing a strong tradition of inspiring young readers and supporting literacy development in the region.

The festival offers curriculum-aligned student sessions, professional development for educators, and accessible family programming designed to spark imagination, encourage creative thinking and foster a lifelong love of reading. By connecting young people directly with storytellers and diverse voices, Storyfest West Moreton creates meaningful opportunities for learning, self-expression and cultural engagement.

At its core, Storyfest West Moreton is a collaborative, community-focused event that highlights the transformative power of stories. It strengthens educational outcomes, supports local partnerships and enriches the cultural landscape of the region, positioning West Moreton as a growing hub for literary experiences and creative industries.
