Because of the remoteness of the area, there is no other way to experience this part of the Snowy National Park other than by Kayak. This tour is open to everyone who is moderately fit, agile, healthy and likes a challenge.Six days of adventure and fun.
You will spend nights camping in spectacular boulder strewn gorges beside the river and enjoy food cooked on open fires.You will also experience the thrill of paddling down more than one hundred rapids, see wildlife in abundance and create bonds through shared experiences with your fellow paddlers that will last a lifetime.
Walking Rivers provides the transport to and from the river Kayaks, camping equipment, food, emergency equipment and qualified guides for your safety.
Itinerary highlights
Travel through the remote alpine region of the Snowy Mountains National Park.
As we travel the Barry Way, you will see views of the Snowy River valley and the surrounding mountains. The road passes through some very remote and unspoiled wilderness in the Australian Alps.
The Big Merino
A big man made sheep that people can climb and look out over the township of Goulbourne. Additionally the sheep has a souvenir shop inside selling many handcrafted wool products.
