Sonora is a modern Mexican restaurant in Potts Point, inspired by tradition but driven by creativity. They blend bold Mexican flavours with the best Australian ingredients—many harvested straight from our garden just metres from the kitchen.

Fire-cooked proteins, house-made tortillas, and inventive sauces anchor a menu that’s both familiar and unexpected. Sonora isn’t about clichés or cheap spice; it’s about balance, depth, and craftsmanship. Every dish tells a story, every bite surprises.

Whether you’re here for a casual dinner or a celebration, you’ll get genuine hospitality and food made with purpose. They’re fully licensed, but if you’ve got a serious wine cellar, they’re open to BYO—for the right bottle. From intimate date nights to vibrant group dining, Sonora delivers high-end food without the fuss. This is Mexican, redefined for Sydney. Experience it once, and you’ll know: this is not what you thought Mexican food could be. It’s better.
