You will find the ‘Southern Comfort’ beach-house nestled at the quiet end of the Esplanade at Point Turton, approximately halfway between the general store and the Jetty. It provides a picturesque, private, and secure venue from which you can explore what the bottom end has to offer.

Once settled in you have several choices from which you can familiarize yourself with the town – a 15-minute stroll, firstly along a well-maintained bitumen pathway, then the roadway and you’re at the Jetty. The jetty is situated next to the [double] boat launch ramp and the new swimming centre. On the right-hand side of the jetty entrance is the caravan park and higher up on the North Coast Road is the Tavern-on-Turton.

A 10-minute stroll in the opposite direction and you arrive at the general store. The store is well stocked for those ‘forgot to pack’ items as well as providing an extensive bakery range and fuel and gas.

Take time also to utilise the walking path and explore the beach from Brutus Road to Magazine Bay [well worth a look].
