Spear Creek is your gateway to the Flinders Ranges.

Set immediately adjacent to the Western slopes of the Flinders Ranges in the middle of a 21,000 acre working sheep station providing privacy and security. Spear Creek is located 25 kilometres southeast of Port Augusta; the eastern boundary follows the summit of the ranges north from Horrocks Pass, with walking trails through deep gorges to range top views of upper Spencer Gulf. The holiday park is nestled amongst 600 year old river red gums adjacent to the ranges.

For accommodation, they have powered, unpowered and bush campsites, spacious two-bedroom bungalows, each with its own courtyard, gas barbecue and kitchen , and motel-style rooms with ensuite and limited cooking facilities.

In late 2021 Spear Creek Caravan Park was purchased by the fourth generation Herde. Tom and his partner Jai have since rebranded the business as ‘Spear Creek Holiday Park’, and plan to develop new facilities, increase the number of camp sites, and offer unique experiences, whilst encapsulating the natural beauty and prime location of the Southern Flinders Ranges.

They have fresh Saltbush Dorper Lamb at their park office available for purchase, grown right here at Spear Creek, from their paddock to your plate.
