Grand symphonies, bold new voices, and the electrifying sound of live orchestral music.

Keitaro Harada returns with his infectious on-stage energy. Ravel’s orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition uses the full colour of the orchestra to bring paintings to life – from ornate clocks and grand city gates to ballet costumes and a ghostly castle.

Stravinsky’s playful ballet score Jeu de cartes dances with bright, darting rhythms.

Australian-French composer Katia Beaugeais wrote Piano Concerto No.1 Bells of Time specially for Stefan Cassomenos, who gives its World Premiere in this vibrant program.
