Tathra Hotel was first opened in 1888 as the Ocean View Hotel and is heritage-listed. Perched on the headland, it is arguably the best-located hotel in Australia. With its panoramic ocean views, it is a great spot for whale watching as well as a welcoming place for a drink or meal.
The hotel has four Heritage Rooms/Suites in the historic section above the bar and ten Oceanfront Rooms on the ocean side of the hotel.

Oceanfront Rooms
The rooms face the ocean and provide unspoiled ocean views towards the East from private balconies. Each room features tea and coffee-making facilities, a Television, an ensuite, a mini-fridge, linen and towels and a passive house design.
