Experience the Magic. A multi-storied enchanting, romantic castle-like retreat, the Castle Keep at Thorngrove is constructed from Angaston white marble, with the romance of an embellished stone working baronial fireplace. Firewood supplied.
Features include early nineteenth century high backed, ornately carved English oak bed (Californian king size), French Declerqc artisan tassels, French tapestries hand painted central rib vaulted ceilings. Stone spiral staircase, mullioned and lancet windows, stone flagged floor and walls, spacious two person en suite corner spa bath and ground floor kitchenette area with stainless steel appliances.
Nineteenth century Georgian high back upholstered fireside double chair and eighteenth century English carved oak coffer complete this romantic fairy-tale setting. 1820 gilded French convex mirror.
The retreat has open plan first floor bed/living/sitting area at the top of a stone spiral staircase, ground floor bathroom with large corner spa bath, kitchenette, hallway entry from garden, private rustic flagstone paved and hedged courtyard with outdoor setting, first floor Juliet balcony through gothic arched and shuttered French doors, wide screen high-definition free view digital LCD/DVD plus Smart TV and Bose CD/Radio with iPod dock.
