Cataract Gorge Half Day Climb/Abseil

Cataract Gorge Half Day Climb/Abseil

Located in the heart of Launceston, the Cataract Gorge is a natural gem that has been the training ground for local climbers for years.

This tour starts with an introductory abseil off a spectacular cliff overlooking the water.

Once you have mastered this skill we move on to some top rope climbing at the nearby Trackside Buttress.

The finish is a combination of both skills with an abseil to the base of Feltham Buttress prior to climbing back out.

Freycinet Sea Cliffs Climbing and Abseiling

Freycinet Sea Cliffs Climbing and Abseiling

On the spectacular East Coast, Freycinet Peninsular is home to one of the most popular climbing areas in the State with the cliffs plunging into the sea on the edge of the coast. The rock here is Granite and it offers a wide range of options for all climbers.

On this tour, you visit the Iconic White Water Wall area and start with some introductory Climbing and Abseiling at Lassies Wall. After Lunch climbers tackle the spectacular Harlequin abseil, at 50metres this offers a great view at the start point along with an exciting free-hanging section in the middle. There is then the option to climb on the 60-meter-high White Water Wall.

Ask about other options if you have had some prior climbing experience, the trip can be tailored to suit your ability.
