The Grounds Fire is a low ‘n’ slow BBQ experience based in Mackay. Serving smoked meats the way they’re meant to be — cooked for hours, full of flavour, and worth the wait.
Running regular pop-up events out of The Grounds Collective in Bucasia, The Grounds Fire brings people together for relaxed, outdoor sessions built around good food and easy afternoons. Think 24-hour brisket, beef ribs, loaded fries, burgers, and stacked share platters designed to be passed around.
Each event is pre-ordered and intentionally limited, allowing everything to be cooked properly and served without the rush. It’s not fast food — it’s done right.
Set in garden surroundings with shady tables, festoon lighting and a laid-back atmosphere, it’s an experience that feels a little different from your typical dining option.
BYO friendly (in moderation), with house-made “Swell Packs” available — fresh fruit and soda mixes designed to enjoy your way.
