Operation information

Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours

Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast region, and their vessel navigates the beauty of the Great Sandy Straits Marine Park.

They are the only tour operator in town to offer Indigenous experiences, either on the Turtle Discovery Tour for an active morning, the Milbi Sunset Cruise for a relaxing afternoon, and the Djinang Cultural Walking Tour for a rich walk.

Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours is a local family-owned business, and they believe that to protect the planet, they must return to their roots. This is why they’ve created these tours.

Their vessel is proudly named “Milbi” which carries the Butchulla meaning for ‘sea turtle’. It navigates protected waterways only, and she is one of the largest glass bottom vessels in Australia.

Explore Round Island, Big Woody Island and/or Pelican Banks (tide dependent). Snorkel the reef, weather permitting or just relax. Join the search for turtles, dolphins, dugongs, fish colonies and seabirds. Time will be set aside for a refreshing swim in clear waters.

Through their cultural experience, you will learn about the oldest surviving culture on Earth. This is an incredible opportunity to view the stunning coastal wilderness.
