wawa biik – Taungurung Cultural Experiences

Wumindjika. wawa biik offers Taungurung-led cultural experiences across diverse biocultural landscapes of Taungurung Country. ‘wawa biik’ means ‘hello country’ in Taungurung language – both a recognition of the deep importance of Country to all Taungurung People and a warm invitation to the wider community to say hello to Country and deepen their relationship with Taungurung culture.

Experiences immerse visitors in the Taungurung story – a resilient and inspiring story that spans thousands of years. Spend time with Country, hear stories of cultural heritage, the impacts of colonisation and cultural practices and ingenuity. Choose from half day experiences in Nagambie and Euroa.

All experiences are led by knowledgeable Cultural Tour Guides and include a Welcome Grounding Ceremony, yarning circle, guided cultural walk and morning tea.
