Itinerary highlights

Uluru and Kata Juta

We see Uluru in all it’s glory, from the air and the ground, sunset and sunrise. Your private guide fills in all the gaps of your Uluru and Kata Juta knowledge and cultural significance. Watch the sunset as you enjoy a glass of bubbly then as darkness falls enjoy the Field of Lights as you enjoy dinner.

West MacDonnell Ranges

Our tour departs Alice Springs for the West MacDonnell Ranges visiting highlights such as Stanley Chasm, Ormiston Gorge and Simpsons Gap. The area is known for some truly stunning scenery and has been part of the cultural landscape with sites such as the Ochre Pits and Ellery Creek Bighole. A fascinating day and a true visual feast.

Coober Pedy

Our stop in Coober Pedy is all things opal. We visit an opal mine and even do some noodling of your own plus we check out the locals and how they survive in this desolate landscape. The tour includes stops at the Serbian Orthodox underground church and vistas of the moonscape. Your accommodation is underground this evening.

Alice Springs

The iconic town of outback Australia, the Alice is an oasis surrounded by desert. We look into the culture, history and art of this amazing town.

Birdsville

Another iconic town of the outback. Just a quick stop for fuel and lunch at the Birdsville Pub!

BFC Air Safaris

Why drive the Australian outback when you can fly in a fraction of the time and in so much better comfort?

At BFC Air Safaris one off bespoke air tours are organised or you can join one of the ready made air safaris to destinations all over Australia. Maximum group size is 9 passengers. All tours are fully inclusive.

BFC Air Safaris is a family run business and loves to fly. All tours are designed on the basis of where can you fly to which is fun, has amazing scenery or some truly Australian history or character and, if you were to drive would take you ages to get there. Flying between towns gives you the chance to do the most in the time you have available to holiday.

BFC Air Safaris wants to offer you the holiday of a lifetime, an adventure for all ages. An air safari is a way of seeing the outback without having to commit to hours of outback driving and those dreaded corrugations and bogs. Air safaris are a mix of ground adventures and amazing aerial landscapes as the tours visit the iconic towns and attractions of Australia.

Adventures range across Australia starting from the home airport of Archerfield in Brisbane, Queensland. If it has an airfield, BFC Air Safaris can probably fly there.
