Wajaana Yaam Gumbaynggirr Adventure Tours
Wajaana Yaam Adventure Tours run tours in three amazing locations across the Coffs Coast.
The tours take place on the homelands of the Gumbaynggirr tribal nation and all of the guides are Gumbaynggirr people or Aboriginal people who have strong familial ties to Gumbaynggirr country. This ensures that you will receive a 100 per cent authentic cultural experience whilst also enjoying adventure.
Wajaana Yaam Gumbaynggirr Adventure Tours are important for the local Gumbaynggirr community. Tourism provides the opportunity to ensure the continuation of the transfer of intergenerational cultural knowledge whilst also providing employment.
Furthermore, a proportion of the profits will be invested in Bularri Muurlay Nyanggan Aboriginal Corporation (BMNAC). BMNAC delivers weekly after school learning centres (90 annually), cultural camps and extensive Gumbaynggirr language revitalisation initiatives.
