From late May to late August, operations are based in Augusta, where you can witness humpback whales and possibly southern right whales on their northern migration. Observe humpbacks heading north to mate and give birth, or southern right whale mothers nursing their calves close to shore.
From late August to early November, the tours operate from Busselton and Dunsborough. Here, you can see whales travelling back to Antarctica, often in a playful mood after mating or giving birth. Geographe Bay serves as a “rest area” for these whales before they head back south, and it’s common to see mothers with newly born calves, who may be playful and interactive if the mother allows.
All Sea Charters also collaborates with the MIM Research team, ensuring that when their own marine biologist is not onboard, marine researchers are present to provide insightful information.
