Whale Watching

Experience a world class whale watching encounter of a lifetime with Australia Whale Experience; the newest, most extraordinary Whale Watching Experience in Australia. Departing Bundaberg during the whale watching season, July until early October, you can get up close and personal with migrating Humpback Whales off the Queensland coast.

Every year we are blessed with youthful, energetic juvenile whales’ breeching and frolicking together. We are uniquely placed to capture the whole whale family interacting playfully; it is what makes Bundaberg unique.

Join us on our half day tour boasting 360-degree uninterrupted viewing of whale encounters onboard our luxury catamaran. THE HV Main Event is our airconditioned, 27 metre vessel for perfect for Whale Watching. Licenced to carry 200 passengers we are limiting our numbers to 80 guests during COVID restrictions.

Guests will be amazed by these fabulous Humpback whales as they entertain with their playfulness.

Lady Musgrave Experience

Lady Musgrave Experience is a multi-award winning, advanced eco-certified Great Barrier Reef tour operator. Operating multiple tours daily from Bundaberg, their flagship experience is a full-day tour to Lady Musgrave Island Lagoon onboard their luxury 35-metre Catamaran ‘Reef Empress’.

Lady Musgrave Island is 45 acres surrounded by a 3,000-acre navigable reef lagoon brimming with marine life and colourful coral. Lady Musgrave Island is known for its resident turtles, manta rays, migrating humpback whales, fantastic visibility and no stingers all year round.

Scuba dive across multiple sites on the Great Barrier Reef for certified divers. Half-day whale watching tours from July to October. There is wreck diving for advanced certified divers.
