Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay located at the southern tip of Australia’s World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef, 80 kilometres north-east of Bundaberg (north of Fraser Island). Situated within a highly protected ‘Green Zone’, the Island is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life and is renowned for an abundance of manta rays, turtles, reef sharks, an amazing array of spectacular marine life and an unspoilt coral reef.
Lady Elliot Island is regarded as one of the best snorkelling and diving destinations on the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a glass-bottom boat/guided snorkel tour, snorkel safari, snorkel straight off the beach, dive spectacular dive sites, a guided reef walk, witness the magic of bird and turtle nesting and hatching season, or watch migrating humpback whales blow and breach (in season).
The unpretentious 44-room Eco Resort strives to provide guests with a genuine eco-tourism experience. In keeping with the natural, eco-friendly lifestyle, there are no telephones, television or radios, and all rooms are fan-cooled apart from the 2-bedroom beachfront unit, which is air-conditioned.
Lady Elliot Island is only accessible by plane; scenic flights depart daily from Bundaberg, Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast, Brisbane (Redcliffe) and the Gold Coast.

Glamping Tent
Immerse yourself in the exclusive and spacious glamping tents set amongst natural flora, whilst enjoying views of the spectacular lagoon. During season, migratory birds nest in surrounding vegetation and green and loggerhead turtles come ashore to lay their eggs only metres from your doorstep.
The Glamping Tents accommodate up to two adults and are ideal for couples with a private bathroom and secluded balcony. Each tent is fan cooled along with solar air-conditioning with a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
Reef Unit
Arranged in blocks of three, the Reef Units are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen bed and a double bunk bed. Each unit is slightly elevated, featuring polished timber floors, ensuite bathroom and a balcony, to make the most of the views. The Reef Units are located on the beachfront, less than 10 metres walk to Sunrise beach. The Units are fan cooled and have a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities.
Garden Unit
Arranged in blocks of three, the Garden Units are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen bed and a double bunk bed. Each unit is slightly elevated, featuring polished timber floors, ensuite bathrooms and a balcony to make the most of the views. The Garden Units are located within 20 to 30 metres walk to the beach. The Units are fan cooled and have a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities.
Eco Cabin (Shared Facilities)
Situated within 20 to 30 metres of the beach, the new Eco Cabins have solid walls and louvres for maximum air flow. Each cabin caters to four people with two sets of double bunk single beds with shared facilities. Electric lighting and power points are available in every cabin as well as fan. A small patio is furnished with two chairs for added relaxation.
Two Bedroom Beachfront Unit
Offering absolute beach frontage, the spacious two-bedroom Beachfront Units accommodate up to four people and feature a separate air-conditioned lounge room and private bathroom. The Beachfront Units have a private balcony with lagoon views over Sunrise Beach and the bedrooms have ceiling fans. Each Suite has a mini-fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities
