Join an extraordinary citizen science expedition to Lady Elliot Island — the southernmost coral cay of the Great Barrier Reef — and contribute directly to the conservation of one of the ocean’s most magnificent creatures. Working alongside Project Manta researchers, you’ll spend five days immersed in the world of manta ray research, collecting vital data, learning identification techniques, and gaining a genuine understanding of the science that drives marine conservation.
Beyond the research, Lady Elliot Island itself is a destination of remarkable natural beauty — a pristine eco-resort 80km from the Queensland coast, where turtles, reef fish, and diverse seabirds are encountered at every turn. Daily snorkelling, reef walks, and the unforgettable Night Explorer Tour complete an experience that is as enriching as it is breathtaking.
A portion of every booking is contributed directly to Project Manta, ensuring your participation supports vital fieldwork and research at no cost to the program.
