Quealy Winemakers are viticulturalists first. Their Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay is planted across five heritage vineyards in the subregions of Balnarring, Merricks North, Red Hill and Main Ridge.
Best described as experimental, innovative and caring winemakers. Their winery property is certified organic and grows (perhaps) their region’s oldest single vineyard Pinot Noir (called Seventeen Rows) and esoteric skin contact varietals Ribolla Gialla, Moscato Giallo, Malvasia, Friulano and Riesling.
Quealy Winemakers are driven to attaining the finest expression of single sites on the Mornington Peninsula. From these five sites are six vineyard-plot designated Pinot Noir, five Pinot Gris, two Chardonnay, two sulphur free sparkling wine and serious skin contact amber wine made in clay amphora. Their Turbul Friulano is spearheading the Skin Contact wine movement in Australia.
It’s all dry grown, hand-picked and made under the watchful eyes of a family of winemakers and their dedicated team of simpatico viticulturalists.
Their Cellar Door is attached to the winery. A welcoming space of knowledge and a new approach to the tradition of growing, making and totally enjoying the tasting experience of proudly Peninsula wine.
Cheese plates to accompany your wine can be arranged. Booking online is the preference for Quealy Winemakers, however spontaneous visits are always welcome.
