Enjoy a rare insight into the craft of wine barrel making, a tradition that has been happening at Yalumba for over 100 years. Their Cooperage experience will expertly guide you on a unique visit to the only producing cooperage at a working winery in the Southern Hemisphere.

The ultimate experience at Seppeltsfield is the unique opportunity to taste a 100 Year Old Tawny straight from the barrel. Join a Seppeltsfield team for a short tour to learn the story behind the collection, and visit their iconic Centennial Cellar for a once in a lifetime tasting.

Your ultimate day would not be complete without a relaxing lunch at FINO Seppeltsfield. Their menu is guided by the seasons, showcasing the finest produce from around South Australia at its mouth-watering best.

Depending on the day, you’ll also enjoy a premium tasting at one of the Barossa’s finest – St Hugo, Artisan’s of Barossa, or Jacob’s Creek.

This full-day private tour of the Barossa Valley offers a blend of wine education, historical experiences, and gourmet dining.
8.45am – Your guide will meet you at your Adelaide accommodation, and you’ll travel north through the agricultural belt to the Barossa Valley.
The day begins with a behind-the-scenes tour at Yalumba, where you’ll learn how barrels are crafted at their unique cooperage, followed by a tasting of wines aged in Yalumba coopered barrels.

Next, visit Seppeltsfield, home to the world’s only unbroken lineage of single vintage Tawny dating back to 1878. Experience tasting a 100-year-old Para Vintage Tawny directly from the barrel.
Enjoy a multi-course lunch at FINO Seppeltsfield, set in a beautiful 1900s bottling hall, paired with local wines.

After lunch, visit St Hugo for a curated tasting experience of their finest wines, known for their “power and elegance.”

The final stop of the day will be at one of the region’s other renowned wineries, such as Artisan’s of Barossa, Jacobs Creek, or St Hugo, depending on availability.

5pm – After a day of wine, history, and culinary delights, you’ll be returned to Adelaide.
