PNL 4WDriving’s Intermediate Four Wheel Drive and Recovery Course is a jam packed two-days, combining theory and practical knowledge. Designed to build your skills in navigating rugged terrain, performing vehicle recoveries, and carrying out vehicle inspections in off-road conditions.
Whether you’re driving for work or weekend adventures, this nationally accredited course will improve your capability, safety, and confidence behind the wheel.
During the course, you will learn how to select and apply the correct gear, range, and driving techniques for different off-road environments. You will develop the skills to confidently drive a 4WD vehicle across challenging terrain, including steep and uneven surfaces as well as water crossings. The training also covers how to perform basic vehicle recoveries using standard recovery equipment, along with how to carry out routine inspections and essential safety checks while in the field.
You will get to experience the unique challenge of a night drive (not for mixed online).
All passing students receive a Certificate of Attainment for your completed nationally recognised qualifications and a course manual for future reference and revision (not for mixed online).
Also available in a Mixed Online format – one day online theory, one day onsite practical. Approximately 10 hours each.

Marysville State Forest
Scenic 4WDriving just 1.5 hours drive north east of Melbourne.
Learn theory in our specialised training area, then practice your skills four wheel driving on real bush tracks with hills, mud, and fantastic birdlife.
4×4 through lush eucalypt forests, giant Mountain Ash trees in the magnificent Marysville State Forest with dramatic views.
Stay overnight in the local area and learn just as much on the second day.

PNL-4WD offer a wide range of Nationally Recognised Courses available for public, private and corporate customers include Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, 4WDrive Instructor. They are a Registered Training Organisation that can issue Nationally Recognised Qualifications (the same as any TAFE or University.)
PNL-4WD also host fun one day Tag-Along tours. A guided 4WD experience, designed for visitors, new drivers, and those wanting an adventurous day exploring Victoria’s great outdoors. It is a relaxed and supportive introduction to off-road driving, without the pressure of a formal training course.
Held year round and access is not restrictive.
