Highlights

  • Explore the vibrant Whitsunday waterways, teeming with diverse marine life that excites both novice and expert anglers.
  • Catch a whopper with guidance from Lynne and John Boyce, who share over 30 years of local fishing expertise.
  • Observe colourful fish swimming up to your mask, welcoming you into their underwater world during your adventure.
  • Enjoy a family-friendly experience that caters to all ages, making it a perfect outing for everyone.

The Whitsunday waterways are home to such a diverse variety of marine life that the fishing will excite the experts. When Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) was asked about fishing in Australia, he answered “Fishing in Australia? There are so many fish in Australia that you have to hide behind a tree to bait your hook!” Your hosts, Lynne and John Boyce, know from more than 30 years experience, where you will catch a “Whopper”! But if your preference is simply to observe, that’s OK also, and they will take you places where colourful friendly fish swim right up to your mask as if to say “welcome to my world”!

Itinerary highlights

Fabulous fishing on the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays

Many areas in the Whitsunday’s are in reserves where no fishing is allowed, because the fish are so friendly and will swim right up to you!! However, there are certain areas where fishing is permitted . Guests can live aboard for 7 days / 6 nights and join others if they are happy to enjoy all other aspects of our charters , and fish when we are in the appropriate areas. For totally dedicated fishermen (where they wish to fish all day and every day) then they need to book a private charter. Keen fishermen can also book a private half day or full day charter out of Hamilton Island .
