Itinerary highlights

Day 1: Adelaide to Mt. Remarkable National Park

Hit the road early, heading north on the first leg of your epic coast-to-coast journey. After crossing the sweeping plains of the Clare Valley, pull into Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula. The perfect spot to stretch your legs, breathe in the salt air, and feel your adventure begin. Back on the road, we cruise along the coastline to Port Germein, a sleepy seaside town
steeped in history. Take a walk along the 1,532-metre-long jetty, once the longest in the Southern Hemisphere, and grab a bite to eat.

By late afternoon, we reach Mount Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges. After setting up camp at Mambray Creek, lace up your boots for a bushwalk beneath ancient red gums and rugged sandstone ridges, home to abundant wildlife. Share stories over dinner with your new travel crew. Then roll out your swag and settle in under a canopy of stars.

Today, travel approximately 320km.

Accommodation: Swag camping at Mambray Creek Campground, which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 2: Eyre Peninsula

Wake to the sounds of the bush—kookaburras calling, leaves stirring, and the scent of campfire. After breakfast, ease into the day on the Davey’s Gully Hike, a gentle 2.4 km loop with sweeping views over Spencer Gulf and Alligator Basin.

Next stop is Kimba, the creative heart of the outback. Capture the iconic silo mural before exploring Workshop26, a former tractor shed turned arts collective, where local makers share their craft and stories. Lunch here is more than a meal—it’s prepared by the Kimba Hospital Auxiliary and RFDS volunteers, with proceeds supporting vital healthcare in remote SA.

In the afternoon, the Eyre Peninsula coastline takes centre stage. Ride the dunes at The Tub or watch from below, then marvel at the wave-carved walls of Woolshed Cave.

By sunset, arrive at Coodlie Park Farm Retreat, an off-grid eco-camp. After dinner, join an optional stargazing tour to witness galaxies blaze across a pristine night sky.

Today, travel approximately 450km.

Day 3: Baird Bay and Penong

Rise early for one of the tour’s most unforgettable experiences—an optional wildlife encounter with Baird Bay Ocean Eco Tours. In sheltered waters, swim alongside Australian sea lions and bottlenose dolphins, guided by an eco-accredited team. Cruise to Jones Island to meet playful sea lions, then slip into the water as they twirl and glide around you. Out in deeper waters, dolphins dart past in their natural element—no feeding, no gimmicks, just wild Australia at its best. Those staying ashore will enjoy a coastal drive to Point Labatt, where endangered sea lions can be spotted from the cliffs.

Next, hit the waves with Streaky Bay Surf School. A remote, crowd-free beach becomes your classroom—perfect for first-timers or those who’d rather simply swim and stroll. As the day winds down, we roll into Penong, a quirky outback town famous for its forest of windmills, ending the day powered by nature’s elements.

Today travel approximately 340km.

Day 4: Nullarbor and Great Australian Bight

Today, we begin our epic crossing of the mighty Nullarbor Plain. A vast, treeless wilderness that feels like another planet. Snap a photo at the famous camels, kangaroos, and wombats crossing sign, then watch the landscape shift as we cruise westward where the outback meets the ocean in jaw-dropping fashion.

Stop at the Bunda Cliffs, where the Great Australian Bight stretches endlessly to the horizon. Towering up to 120 metres and spanning over 200 kilometres, these ancient sea cliffs form the longest uninterrupted line of coastal cliffs on Earth. Stand at the edge and feel the raw power of this untamed coastline.

Later, stop at the quirky Nullarbor Roadhouse to grab lunch, a relic of Australia’s early communications history. By late afternoon, cross the border into Western Australia, gaining 1.5 hours and that undeniable sense you’ve stepped into the wild west.

Tonight, we bush camp under one of the darkest skies in the world. With no facilities, no light
pollution, and no distractions, the night sky becomes your show.

Today travel around 600km with plenty of stops along the way.

Accommodation – Bush camping on the Nullarbor with no facilities.

Meals Included – B | D

Day 5: Nullarbor to Cape Le Grand National Park

Today, we hit one of Australia’s most legendary stretches of highway, the aptly named 90 Mile Straight, the longest, flattest, dead-straight road in the country. En route, we swing by the quirky outback town of Balladonia, which found fame in 1979 when parts of NASA’s Skylab space station came crashing down nearby. As the red earth rolls by, your guide will keep you entertained with fascinating tales of the region’s history, characters, and curiosities. We’ll stop in Norseman for a leg stretch and lunch break before the scenery
starts its dramatic transformation.

By afternoon, desert tones melt into a canvas of white sand and impossibly blue water as we enter the Esperance region. Cape Le Grand National Park is an absolute showstopper. Think perfect beaches, rugged granite peaks, and kangaroos lounging on the sand. It’s a slice of paradise, and we’re lucky enough to call it home for the next two nights.

Back on the road, cruise along the South West Coast to Albany, where raw cliffs and ocean energy collide at The Gap and Natural Bridge. Then it’s off to Elephant Rocks, a calm bay tucked between giant boulders and Greens Pool, where you can swim in crystalclear water when the weather is right.

Towards the end of the day, we head into the forest. Not just any forest, the ancient, misty magic of the Walpole Wilderness Region. You’ll walk beneath the canopy and meet the legendary Giant Tingle Tree, a hollowed-out giant that’s been standing for hundreds of years.

Here you’ll step behind the scenes, rolling up your sleeves to support vital conservation work that protects these powerful birds and their habitats.

From there, shift gears and journey into one of Western Australia’s most iconic regions—Margaret River. Explore the township at your own pace, browsing boutiques, art galleries, and cosy cafés. In the afternoon, discover a taste of the region with stops at handpicked local producers, sampling wine, gin, chocolate, and cheese.

Witness the ancient skill of fire lighting, before heading underground into
the mesmerising Ngilgi Cave. As you descend, the echoes of Josh’s didgeridoo fill the space, creating a soundscape that’s moving, memorable, and deeply grounding.

Our next stop is Busselton’s Origin Markets, where you’ll find a colourful mix of WA-made goods, from food and drink to art and handmade keepsakes. Grab a bite, stock up on locally made treats, or soak up the buzz.
