ACMI is the national museum of screen culture. You can explore the world of movies, television, videogames and art, daily, in the heart of Melbourne’s City Centre.

Open 364 days a year, ACMI is the most visited museum of its kind in the world. It provides an immersive, fun-filled day out for all ages.

Located in Fed Square, ACMI offers exhibitions, cinemas, and an incredible gift shop with unique and exclusive wares by local artists and a focus on film, television, videogames and art.

As the home of Melbourne’s best and most popular film festivals, great Australian and international cinema, an annual calendar of talks and workshops, as well as the very best in contemporary art and screen culture.

  • Seating in common areas including reception area

Physical – Wheelchair

  • Caters for people who use a wheelchair.

  • A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
  • Accessible seating areas in theatrette
  • Lifts with enough space for people using a mobility aid to enter and turn around to use the lift buttons. Buttons are at accessible height.
  • An accessible public toilet which is unlocked.
