This fascinating tourist railway and museum features local timber history from the Rubicon Forest and other historical displays. The museum is open selected weekend days from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and trains will usually run when they are open. It is essential you check the website for the timetable. Late changes are on the site front page.

The Museum’s Heritage Machinery Festival on the first weekend in October is their annual big event that features many exhibitors from around Victoria and helps to highlight one of the largest industrial machinery collections in Australia.

There are lots of children’s activities, a picnic area and the Great Victorian Rail Trail that starts and ends at the museum. Groups and families are very welcome.
