Itinerary highlights

Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre

In 1847, along the banks of Jacob’s Creek, Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard. His vision was to create great tasting wines that reflect the true character of the grapes and the land. To this day we live and breathe this vision by producing wines that showcase how each grape variety expresses itself when shaped by the soil and the sun of Australia.

As Australia’s largest wine brand with over 160 years of winemaking expertise, you can visit the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre in the Barossa for great wines, delicious food and memorable experiences.

Saltram Wine Estate

Saltram resides at the entrance to the township of Angaston. Inviting, warm and full of experiences awaiting your enjoyment, Saltram makes you feel right at home with comfortable, contemporary styling of the original winery.

Many of Australia’s most influential and celebrated winemakers have passed through the Saltram’s cellar doors throughout its 150 year history. The winemaking excellence continues with Saltram still producing quality premium wines loved and admired by many within the Australian wine industry.

South Australia Company Store

Nestled amongst picturesque vineyards, the idyllic and tranquil setting of the South Australian Company Store, featuring the Company Kitchen, is unsurpassed in the Barossa Valley. We offer fully licensed and BYO relaxed dining, and feature the best of South Australia’s Gourmet and Regional Foods. Artwork by local artist Marilyn Renshaw are just some of the other interesting treasures you will find

Hahndorf

Hahndorf is Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement located about a 30 minute drive from Adelaide. There is still a strong German flavour in Hahndorf, most evident in the smallgoods outlets, German bakeries and pubs that line the bustling main street. Highlights include shopping, cellar doors, dining, art galleries and studios, strawberry picking, micro breweries, children’s farmyard and walking tours.
