That’s why this one starts later and ends earlier, getting you back in time for happy hour. Fast facts, pick-ups from 10am, return to Cairns around 3.30pm. In between times, slide down mossy rocks into cool pools hidden amongst ancient rainforest, wander beneath the green leaves and climbing palms and make that connection with people and place. Josephine Falls
Josephine Falls is a breath-taking cascade nestled within the Wooroonooran National Park. Fed by the slopes of Queensland’s highest mountain peak, Mount Bartle Frere, the falls are renowned for their stunning tiers and crystal-clear pools. Visitors can enjoy designated swimming areas, while a viewing platform provides panoramic views of the falls. The site also features a natural rock water slide that guests can go down when water levels are good and a walking track that wind through lush rainforest, offering glimpses of native flora and fauna.
Babinda Boulders
The Babinda Boulders is a picturesque natural swimming hole surrounded by the lush rainforest of the Wooroonooran National Park. This popular attraction features crystal-clear waters, granite boulders, and tranquil walking trails. Known for its serene atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot for picnics, swimming, or simply unwinding in nature. The site also holds cultural significance for the local Indigenous community, and interpretive signage shares the Dreamtime story of Oolana and the spirit of the Babinda Boulders.
