Captain Sponges Magical Oyster Tours
Captain Sponges Magical Oyster Tours is an “on-the-water” oyster farm experience where passengers are taken to the oyster farm and shown the how, where and when behind this mysterious form of farming.
Brett, also known as “Captain Sponge”, demonstrates the various aspects of oyster husbandry, their life cycle, biology and most importantly the secret behind opening or ”shucking” them. Guests are, of course, given samples of the world-famous Sydney Rock Oyster.
Various natural and Aboriginal cultural sites dot the tree studded banks of this ancient waterway on the journey to the mouth of Pambula River where it opens to the sea.
