Avoca Beach
Avoca Beach – an open beach that can all but guarantee waves 365 days a year and some of the best surfing on the coast. We utilise the best sand banks here to make sure beginners are safe and relaxed, close to shore, while more advanced surfers can venture out the back to improve their skills.

Operation information
Central Coast Surf School
Learn to surf with the area’s longest-running surf school. The original Central Coast Surf School is located on the scenic Central Coast, with some of the best surfing beaches in Australia.
Umina/Ocean Beach – a protected bay that rarely gets large swells and offers arguably the most ideal conditions for learning to surf.
Avoca Beach – a more open beach that can almost guarantee waves 365 days a year and some of the best surfing on the coast.
Terrigal Beach – another open beach which regularly offers ideal learning conditions.
Central Coast Surf School uses approved, safe, soft surfboards and provides wetsuits and sunscreen.
All Central Coast Surf School staff are Surfing Australia accredited and are current senior First Aid holders and ‘Ocean Safety Surf Coach Award’ (awarded by the Australian Professional Ocean Lifeguard Association) certificate holders.
Established in 1996, they are fully insured and have a perfect safety record.
