It is a wonderful spot for whale-watching in the spring when thousands of humpback whales travel south along the Sapphire Coast on their way to Antarctica.

You can walk to Chamberlain lookout from Tathra Headland along the 1.8-kilometre (one-way) walking track, known as the Tathra Coastline Walk.
